Shallow, ovular seed tray of woven plant fibre, with a thickened rim of black wefts and natural coloured warps. Formed of two layers; the upper layer with red warps and a geometric design of long, acute triangles in natural colour and red; the base layer of natural colour. Convex base.

Catalogue card for 1948.2330 A-B: 'Two shallow circular seed trays of double wicker work with reinforced borders, woven in black wefts on natural warps. B: Outside and inside same sized weave. Warps broader than wefts. Inside with boldly toothed zigzag bands acute triangles of red woven in, room being made for the red wefts by inserting the natural coloured ones diagonally and reducing their number locally.'
