Context (Amendments / updates)
Following review of the catalogue card and accession register, '1927.18' appears to have been recorded as one hoe. Two metal hoes were found in 2001 sharing the accession number, '1927.18'. During the Stores Move Project (2020-2025), only modern labels were found with each hoe, documenting their recently suffixed status [A-B]. In the absence of a historic accession number on either hoe (in marking or label form), it is has been decided that each hoe should be given a temporary records 'TEMP.01955' and 'TEMP.01956', pending further investigation regarding their accession identity.
