Catalogue card 1941.101 A-B: 'Two ivory hairpins. A: 6 1/2" long; head carved to represent a human head, features slightly coventionalised, with head-or-hair-dressing showing 2 wide flaps placed low at the back of the head. Shaft perforated through cylindrical swelling just below head. B: 6" long; head carved to represent human head, features slightly conventionalised; headdress like a small cap on top of head.'
