Context (Acquisition Details)
Until recently, this object was thought to have come to MAA through the Ridgeway bequest in 1927. However, most of the currency-related objects accessioned under Z 46839 were previously part of the Christopher Graham collection, collected in September 1932 in North Nigeria. Some of Graham collection came to MAA and was formally accessioned in 1933. This object might have been part of the group of object that was not entered in the Museum's accession register at the time, and later assigned a Z number.
