Description

Wooden shaft and metal ferrule of a spear. The shaft has a circular cross-section and is tapered to a point at the blade end. There is a coil of metal wire around the shaft about halfway down, and a second coil above the socket of the ferrule. Ferrule is long with a split socket an square cross-section. Coil of wire just below the socket. Spearhead has become detached, Z 19489.1.
