Label found in box reads: 'Romano-British Cremation Burial. 2nd Century A.D. One of four Romano-British burial discovered during the excavation of the pagan Anglo-Saxon cemetery on the site of Girton College. They were no doubt the family grave belonging to a Roman villa somewhere in the neighbourhood. See: "The Anglo-Saxon Cemetery at Girton College" (Cambridge 1925) by E.J. Hollingworth and M.M. O'Reilly, page 32, plates xi and xii.'

Description (Physical description)
Six copper alloy rings, with flat cross section. Two rings have sheet copper alloy adhering, others have remains of iron loops with mineralised wood on reverse, one also with possible mineralised textile.
