Context (Analysis)
The original description for this object lists '2 small bowls', comprising one cast bowl with a 'second bowl forced into it', with 'some signs of piercing so that both could be joined'. On closer visual inspection, it appears that the piercing or perforations in the 'outer bowl' align with the perforations in the 'inner bowl', and there are staples that were likely used to attach the two 'bowls' together. It therefore appears that the object is in fact a single bowl, comprising a cast metal outer layer with an inner lining of sheet metal. The Short Description and Number fields have been updated accordingly.
