Description for E 1907.60[.1-15]: 'Horse-trapping consisting of: a saddle with high cantle and head; stirrups; quilted pads of chintz, linen, etc.; saddle-covers of flowered sateen and satin; a bridle crupper, head-stall, etc. with embroidered velvet facings. As used at present day.'

Megan backhouse noted for E 1907.60[.2-10]: 'There are five items, including the bridle-crupper and head-stall, which are all backed with white leather (now very dirty), edged in red leather, and faced with black velvet which is embroidered in knot patterns in green, white, purple and red. Two of the pieces have metal attachments and one has metal buckles.'

Tabitha Cadbury noted for E 1907.60[.2-10]: 'E 1907.60 includes one saddle, the five bridle-trappings mentioned above and nine textile items, as follows:
A to D are quilted saddle-pads - the cotton cloth covering each is torn and dirty. The cloth covering A has a pink floral design.
B is covered with striped cloth in blue, pink, white and purple and green with floral and geometric designs.
C is covered with an ikat patterned striped fabric in green, red, yellow and white.
D is off-white with no decorative cloth cover. E is a decorative saddle-cover with seven long, hanging pieces of cloth. The cover is black silk/satin backed with red ?cotton fabric and edged with green silk/satin. The black areas are embroidered round the edges in red, green, yellow, blue and white.
F is a rectangular saddle-cover with pointed corners, made from red velvet backed with printed floral cotton fabric. It is edged with yellow silk and embroidered round the edges in black, white, yellow and green. The velvet has extensive insect damage. G is a rectangular saddle-cover with pointed corners, made from red velvet backed with red cotton fabric. It is edged with green silk and embroidered round the edges in black, white, yellow and green. The green silk is very worn and the velvet has extensive insect damage.
H is a T-shaped saddle-cover of red cotton cloth backed with floral cloth in dark brown, pink and yellow. There are two pockets at the centre, perhaps for fitting the cloth over protruding parts of the saddle. The red cotton has insect damage.
I is a T-shaped saddle-cover of pink cotton cloth with patterned black stripes, backed with floral cloth in dark brown, pink and yellow. There are two pockets at the centre, perhaps for fitting the cloth over protruding parts of the saddle. The cloth is badly water-stained.'
