Cutlery case bound in leather, hinged and secured shut with two small metal hooks. The leather on the upper surface is stamped and gilded with an intricate floral motif in two panels, each panel also containing a naturalistic bird with spread wings; the leather on the underside is stamped with a simple border comprised of two parallel lines.
