Description
Large knife with steel blade and silver octagonal handle. Knife blade features single cutting edge and flat back. Handle tapers towards blade and is divided into three panels by incised horizontal lines; top panels (closet to handle butt) incised with Christian iconography, including Madona and child, Jesus carrying the cross, the representation of Justice (woman holding scales), the representation of Hope (woman with an anchor) and two identical representation of saints; middle panels largely left blank with small floral designs at borders; bottom panels (closest to blade) feature a potted flower flanked by chevrons.
