Context (Field collection)
Collected in 1975 by the donor's father, John Ash, an ornithologist, in the Omo National Park, in south western Ethiopia from a group of people called the Mursi. The donor noted that 'I expect my father bought them from individuals - I do not know whether they were newly made or had been worn.  My father, John Ash was primarily an ornithologist, he was not attached to the university although he worked closely with Cambridge-associated conservation organisations'.

Context (Acquisition Details)
Offered to the Museum in November 2012. The donor did not know how her father had acquired them,whether they were newly made or had been worn.
