Context (Amendments / updates)
This brooch was incorrectly identified as 1883.517, but does not match the illustration of that brooch in Babington (1860) and was therefore assigned a TEMP number. It is included in Hilton's 1961 PhD as part of the Trinity College loan collection, which has been added to the Source field. Hilton also identifies the brooch as coming from Edix Hill, however the source of this information is unknown or is no longer extant. Therefore Edix Hill has been tentatively added to the Place field.
