Description for 1948.1883 A-B: 'Two tobacco pipes (Ontu) with pottery bowls bearing punctate designs. A: Brown. B: Black. Wooden stems with burnt incised designs. Mainly smoked by women. B much used, A little used. Kwa Mloro, July 1944.
Additional later note reads: Sandawe. Kondoa Irangi District.'

Description (Physical description)
Tobacco pipe with ceramic bowl (.1) and wooden stem (.2). The bowl is decorated with an indented pattern of curves and crosses. The stem is decorated with burnt and incised geometric and curvilinear ornament.
