Sealed envelope 'On his Majesty's Service', original addressed to 'The Treasury Officer. Nairobi'. Reused to enclose indigenous medicine. Hand-written note at the back: 'Kikuyu. "Kagurno". The ashes of the roots of a tree of that name, the tree has milky sap. If a person faints a little of this medicine placed on the tongue + a spot of it placed on the forehead + on the navel will revive the patient.' [Transcribed by Lucie Carreau, 31/03/2022].
