Context (Amendments / updates)
This object was found in EX 243 (MAA.BOX.018599) mislabelled as '1936.161-2'. The object has not been marked with any idno. The object is very similar to 1931.161-2 and it is believed that this is what the label was intended to read. Both 1931.161 and 1931.162 are already accounted for and given the notable similarity it is quite likely that this object (TEMP.01732) was collected at the same time and place. However no other bloodletting knives from Kenya were ever entered into the accession register, it is possible that this object was collected at the same time but not accessioned. This object has been assigned a temporary number: TEMP.01732 and awaits further analysis.
