Description

A wooden headrest or stool. Consisting of a curved, roughly rectangular upper section with a thin and slightly flaring support and hemispherical base. Carved in relief from a single piece of wood. On each side of the central section are loops of hide. On the upper section is a contemporary repair to the wood using a band of metal.
