Note found with objects 1966.279 to 1966.283 adds: 'Males and female figurines and models of birds & other objects. Given by the basket girls of the sitesupervisors on the excavation 1965. Made during rice harvest. Girls made female. Men [made] male'.

These figurines were roughly modelled out of clay and given to one of Dr Seton-Williams' site-supervisors on the excavation site by the basket girls. They were made at the height of the rice harvest, - the girls making the female figurines (1966.280) and the men the male ones.
