Description (Physical description)
Description for 1946.309 A-F: 'Six bowls. A: Buff ware, outside with pinkish slip and black key patterns, inside with buff slip, brown at middle, with black "tails" hanging from lip and a ring of dots round the brown patch. Varnished. B: Buff slip with dark brown designs including aeroplanes, men, trees and the word 'POWDERED'. Varnished. C: Buff slip with dark brown designs, mainly larke dots. Varnished. D: Pink slip outside with black and white designs. Inside with buff slip with conventionalised figures and other designs in brown. Varnished. E: Small, blackened. The black said to be vegetable. F: Buff slip with embattled design in black and red outside, and zigzag and trellis designs in dark brown and black inside. Varnished.'
