Description for 1946.309 A-F: 'Six bowls. A: Buff ware, outside with pinkish slip and black key patterns, inside with buff slip, brown at middle, with black "tails" hanging from lip and a ring of dots round the brown patch. Varnished. B: Buff slip with dark brown designs including aeroplanes, men, trees and the word 'POWDERED'. Varnished. C: Buff slip with dark brown designs, mainly larke dots. Varnished. D: Pink slip outside with black and white designs. Inside with buff slip with conventionalised figures and other designs in brown. Varnished. E: Small, blackened. The black said to be vegetable. F: Buff slip with embattled design in black and red outside, and zigzag and trellis designs in dark brown and black inside. Varnished.'

Description (Physical description)
Varnished ceramic bowl with a buff slip and tapered pedestal base. Decorated on the interior with images of aeroplanes, men, trees, birds and repeated pattern, and inscribed with the word 'POWDERED'. Exterior is decorated with repeated patterns of squares, zigzags and lines.
