Probably a leg rattle. This type of rattle would have been worn on the right ankle.
Ethnic group suggested because those objects in the Whiffen collection whose ethnic group is known are Witotoan. It is therefore probable that similar objects in the collection are also be Witotoan. Location suggested because this is the region in which Whiffen travelled and collected.
