Description (Physical description)
Catalogue card for 1959.488 A-E reads: 'Snuff apparatus. A& B: Two wooden ladles in which the snuff is ground with a C: land gasteropod shell. D: Container made of the soft yellow and black bill of a Toucan or similar bird. The snuff is retained in it by a cotton wad. E: Bone tube for snuffing, with a black bead on one end as a nasal seal.'
