Context (Production / use)
Three 'Anglo-Saxon' pots made by Jonathan Garratt of Clare College for Rosemary Luff in 1974 (June). Both clays come from a large pit in the vicinity of West Stow site, and shown to me by Stanley West. Fired in a shallow pit (6 inches deep) lined with marl, with a bonfire built over them. Time taken to fire would be approximately three hours.

Description (Physical description)
Description for 1978.200(.1-3): 'Three ' Anglo-Saxon' pots; two burnished pots of distinctly finer and more plastic clay than that which is finger impressed. The rougher, finger nail impressed bowl is missing one of its handles'.

Description (Physical description)
Rusticated bowl with a flat base and circular perforated lug handles; modern replica of an Anglo Saxon vessel. Part of rim is damaged.
