Context (Display)
Handwritten display label found with Z 11636 A and Z 14800-5: 'Sherds, etc. from ancient lime-kilns at Great Paxton, Cambs. / These kilns were probably used during the building of the Late Saxon (X century) church nearby. The sherds are predominantly of the Late Saxon type & and include only a few of the 'Norman' type.'
It is not clear which of the sherds were previously on display with this label.
