Context (Field collection)
Julie Grove, Secretary of the Oakington & Weswick History Society, gave further details into this discovery, noting that: 'In 1926 Charles and Alan Bloom (father and son), Plantsmen, dug up three Anglo-Saxon Warriors at his Nursery, Meadow Farm. We know that the Archaeologist who carried out the exhumation was Tom Lethbridge.'
