Context (Found together / assemblage)
Fox (1923) notes 'In the garden of Croft Lodge two interments were found in 1910: wrist-clasps and a cruciform fibula with one [Z 21336]; three fine cruciform fibulae with another [Z 21334-Z 21335].' Although not mentioned by Fox, pottery sherds were also found and accessioned later (Z 23145, Z 29487 A-B).

Description (Physical description)
One part of a cast copper alloy wrist clasp. Narrow rectangular bar with three square bosses, transverse grooves and notched detail between each boss. Projecting plate with three pierced round lugs on the rear edge; one is damaged. Damaged; it is unclear whether this is a hook-piece or a catch-piece as the definitive section on the front edge is missing.
