Context (Amendments / updates)
The label found with the Z 22589 [A-D] suggests that they belong to the 1888.30 St John's collection, but it is not known if this is certain or speculation. It possible that the objects Z 22589 [A-D] came from the 1888 St John's Cricket Field excavation or the later Saxmeadham excavation.
No fragments of an iron key was found, but it is possible that the pieces of copper alloy were mistaken as a key and this is where the confusion has arisen.
