Context (Amendments / updates)
The label found with the comb fragments Z 22588 [A-B] suggests that they belong to the 1888.30 St John's collection, but this is not certain and they have been assigned a unqiue Z number at a later date. Two of the single-sided comb fragments have adhered labels similar to those from the Saxmeadham collection. It possible therefore that the combs came from the 1888 St John's Cricket Field excavation or the later Saxmeadham excavation. The fragments may have come from multiple sites and been brought together at a later date. ?Saxmeadham has therefore been added to the Place field and ?Walker to the Source field.
Since Z 22588 [C-D] were found in that same bag as Z 22588 [A-B], the same amendments have been made to these records.
