Catalogue card for 1949.428[.1-2]: 'Small globular urn of brownish ware. Rim broken. Height 6 1/4". Rough parallel incised lines at neck and two rows of stamp ornament. Slightly flattened base. Excavation No G.17. a few sherds of a plain urn G17A were found with G17. Destroyed. Not catalogued.'

Context (Analysis)
1949.428[.1-2] originally covered an urn and what the catalogue card describes as 'a few sherds of a plain urn' which were noted as having been 'destroyed'. Three fragments of cremated human bone were found inside the urn, Jean Somerville may have mistaken these for the sherds.
