Context (Field collection)
Solomon Islands arrows bought in Artefacts shop in Arawa, Bougainville Island in 1984. At the time Spriggs was based at the University of Hawaii but working on fieldwork in the Solomons and had travelled to Bougainville to get married. He passed the bow and arrows to his parents to take home and recently re-acquired them before offering them to MAA when visiting as Australian Research Council Laureate Fellow at the McDonald Institute for Archaeological Research, 2016.
