Description (Physical description)
Described by Faye Minter, Jude Plouviez, Ian Riddler, Nicola Trzaska-Nartowski and Rose Broadley, and informed by Sue Anderson, on their visit on 25/11/2019: 'Fifteen fragments of elephant ivory from a purse ring, mostly rectangular in shape and flat in section. Two iron rivets also present, one still passing through a segment of ivory, with traces of perforations on two further pieces. One of the iron rivets is hollow. Ivory burnt to a light to dark grey colour.' (Object was seen before record was split)

It is not currently known whether this iron rivet was part of the ivory bag ring, but the size is larger than the copper alloy rivet embedded in the ivory fragments (see 1950.110 B.1).
