A bright blue glazed scarab with suspension hole. The underside is inscribed with a cartouche of mn-hpr-re, a name of Tuthmosis III, between two crowns.

Context (Other owners)
The underside of the mount has had the name 'Nahman' and date '1922'. It is possible therefore that this scarab came to Acworth via the notable collector and antiquities dealer Maurice Nahman. Nahman's collections were sold from the 1920s onwards from his own gallery in Cairo, as well as Christies's sales in 1937 and 2004, and a sale held at the Hotel Drouot in Paris in 1953.
