Description
Iron razor. Thin, rectangular blade with a concave end and inlaid copper alloy 'X' shaped repeated pattern along the top edge . 18 of the original 42 remain with 24 empty recesses. There are also four groups of y shaped figures below. Short tapering tang possibly broken off at the end.

On the reverse of the card is the original label: 'These nine Exhibits together with the accompanying portion of Habergeon were discovered by the late City Engineer and Surveyor of Peterboro' Mr Gill during his extension of the drainage of the city. They were unearthed in the vicinity of the Cathedral and presented to the Exhibitor by his son (the Assistant Engineer and Surveyor) (Exhibitor Mr I G. Rudler. Hawkshead, Lancashire)'.

Description (Physical description)
Single edged knife blade, square pointed (unless broken and ground down). When cleaned G was found to have a series of inlaid brass or bronze crosses along one edge and four groups of Y shaped figures (see card) on the blade.
