The number '3713' on the underside of the mount matches a description for a scarab in Frederick George Hilton Price's catalogue. It is possible Acworth collected the scarab from him or his Sale of Egyptian antiquities which took place in July 1911 under the auctioneers Sothebys, Wilkinson And Hodge.
