E 1902.128 is formed of thirty two samples of ornamental plaiting, glued onto 8 cards (4 samples per card). Four cards [now E 1902.128.1-4] are dedicated to bamboo, one to sugar cane arrow [E 1902.128.5], one to stem of arrowroot [E 1902.128.6], one to bamboo & pandanus and bamboo & plantain [E 1902.128.7] and one to 'native grass', 'native grass' with plantain stalk & pandanus and bamboo [E 1902.128.8].

Context (Amendments / updates)
The original description referred to E 1902.128 as 21 samples. Given that the handwritting on the cards is that of Anatole von Hügel, it is likely that 21 samples came, and were cut and mounted on card by von Hügel himself turning the 21 samples into 32 parts mounted across 8 cards.
