Description
Tenugui (手拭い). Rectangular towel (1) of woven fabric, probably cotton or linen, with original paper packaging (2). Towel half white half blue with circular motifs, possibly cart wheels or 'genjiguruma' pattern, with flowers, probably cherry blossom or 'sakura'. Paper packaging with same designs in red, plus a bundle of ribbons tied together or 'noshi', a tied rope through the middle, and some Japanese characters in blue.

Rectangular hand towel of white cloth with a wide printed blue border of circular wheel-like and flower patterns along the top edge. Originally stored in a paper wrapper printed with red ribbon and wheel-like designs and stamped with three blue Japanese characters.
