Two brass betel boxes, probably of Brunei manufacture, judging chiefly by the mangosteen calyx on the lid. A is from the Tempassuk district. A: " Usually this betel box contains three small mangosteen-shaped pots, each containing the chewing requisites

Description (Physical description)
Chalapa. One of two brass betel boxes. The box is cuboid-shaped, with a hinged, rectilinear domed lid. There are scroll, cross-hatch and other designs in low relief all over the box, and a central cross emblem with four bosses on the lid.
