Description (Physical description)
catalogue card notes for 1938.518 A-D: 'Brass betel box ("chalapa") containing three small boxes for lime, tobacco, etc. The large box is probably of Brunei manufacture. " Betel box, usually having. . three small pots containing lime, areca nut, and gambier and areca nut rice, ' kachip'.

In June 1974, a fourth box was connected to 1938.513 A-C in error, as the number 1938.518 was misread for 1939.513. The box purported to be 1938.513 D has now been reunited with its correct accession number, 1938.518 D.
