Context (Amendments / updates)
The accession register records 1980.1106[.1-11] as originating from Troulli, Cyprus. However, only 1980.1106.1-6 are marked 'Troulli'; the remaining five flints (1980.1106.7-11) are marked either 'TD 37' or 'TD 38', with two flints also being marked with a specific excavation context. It has been discovered that 'TD' likely refers to the site of Tell ed-Duweir, also known as Lachish, in Israel. Veronica Seton-Williams contributed to James Leslie Starkey's excavations at this site during 1937-1938, and the markings on the flints are consistent with these dates of excavation and the known excavation contexts at the site. The Place field and Field Collection information have therefore been updated accordingly, and Bronze Age has been added to the Period field.
