Description (Physical description)
Red, orange and black lacquer box, with false bottom. Interior in black lacquer. Contains various artist's materials. Two palettes for grinding ink, one being smaller than the other. Four brushes, two with guards to protect the bristles. Two blocks of ink, one red with gold lettering and one black. Unidentified, hollow, metal object, with two small holes and raised pattern of waves and writing.

Description (Physical description)
Writing brush or pen with a plain exterior and blue and red Chinese script inscribed into the surface towards the end of the brush. The bristles are made of animal hair, with white pigment still visible on the surface. Lid made of plain bamboo is over the bristle end of the brush. There are two paper labels adhered to the pen each with Chinese script and insignia on the surface.
