Description (Physical description)
Red, orange and black lacquer box, with false bottom. Interior in black lacquer. Contains various artist's materials. Two palettes for grinding ink, one being smaller than the other. Four brushes, two with guards to protect the bristles. Two blocks of ink, one red with gold lettering and one black. Unidentified, hollow, metal object, with two small holes and raised pattern of waves and writing.

Description (Physical description)
Ink block, red in colour with a gilt surface covering a raised floral design, visible on both sides of the block. The block is rectangular in shape with rounded edges. Stored in a paper covered cardboard box with Chinese script on the upper surface.
