Description (Physical description)
Red, orange and black lacquer box, with false bottom. Interior in black lacquer. Contains various artist's materials. Two palettes for grinding ink, one being smaller than the other. Four brushes, two with guards to protect the bristles. Two blocks of ink, one red with gold lettering and one black. Unidentified, hollow, metal object, with two small holes and raised pattern of waves and writing.

Description (Physical description)
Ink block, black in colour with two lines of gilt Chinese script on the surface. On the reverse are two dragons chasing the flaming pearl of wisdom with a single silver symbol in Chinese written in between them. The ink block is stored in a red and gold paper wrapper with three Chinese symbols in black ink on the surface.
