Context (Display)
Historically, 1883.552 A-D and Z 23023.1-3 were mounted together for display along with two other rings, probably 1883.551 and an unidentified ring/bracelet. The mount is a wood board covered with paper that has faded where the bracelets/rings were mounted. This has allowed the possibility of reuniting the bracelets which had apparently become detached from the board and were accessioned in 1883 (1883.552 A-D and probably 1883.551) and the bracelets/rings accessioned later with the board (Z 23023.1-3) as being once displayed together, probably by the Cambridge Antiquarian Society museum circa 1854 but possibly earlier by Isaiah Deck. There remains a ninth bracelet or ring, indicated by the faded circle, that has not been identified. The board has a label reading 'Camb. Antiq. Soc. Found near Trumpington. From the late Mr. I. Deck's Collection, 1854' and the back reads 'Trumpington'.
