Description (Physical description)
One of three rectangular blocks of Chinese ink. The ink block is black in colour and decorated with gilt lettering in a Chinese script on the front and a raised relief image of a tree and a bird on the reverse. The ink is stored in a card or thin wooden box covered with embroidered red, blue and white silk.
