There is a catalogue card which covers 1980.1093 to 1980.1096. It gives the following acquisition information: 'purchased July 1950 from Mr P. Sanders [address + phone number removed to comply with GDPR]. Mr Sanders, now aged 74, had lived as a child (until about 1915) in E. End of London. When his father was a child they had had a lodger who spent many months at a time in Africa (? a mining geologist). The lodger eventually never returned, and the gold weights, spoons, boxes and weights were found in his room. Purchased for £140.'
