Context (Found together / assemblage)
The bone comb and several silver Anglo Saxon objects were incorrectly assigned the accession number 2001.28, and have now been assigned TEMP numbers (TEMP.00944-TEMP.00949). As the comb shows signs of more modern conservation, and there are traces of perspex on some of the silver objects, it is possible that they had been taken to the conservation lab for work prior to 2001 and subsequently became disassociated from their original accession number or, in the case of the silver, the rest of their accession number. It is hoped that they can be matched up in the future.

Description (Physical description)
Half of a silver ring, possibly a finger ring, tapering at one end and broken at the other. Wide, flat band with two bands of incised lines running along each side. Pierced at the tapered end and in middle. A small piece from the broken end is also present.

Half of a copper alloy ring, possibly a finger ring, tapering at one end and broken at the other. Wide, flat band with two bands of incised lines running along each side. Tapered end is rounded with a small, round perforation; small perforation also in the middle of the band. A small piece from the broken end is also present.

Context (Amendments / updates)
This object was identified by Thomas Charles Lethbridge in his 1931 report as having been excavated from Burwell, Grave 121. As a result, the source has also been updated to reflect that the object was likely donated by the Cambridge Antiquarian Society. However, an accession number for this object has not been identified and thus remains identifiable by its temporary given number.
