Context (Field collection)
Found: From Tomb 122. Vounous Site B. Iron Age sherd from the surface earth above the fallen roof of the chamber. The remainder of the finds from this tomb were not handed over to this museum. No trace of human skeleton in this tomb but it is thought to be a single inhumation. Excavated by James Stewart, British School at Athens, 1937-1938.

Context (Acquisition Details)
Transferred from the Fitzwilliam Museum to the Museum of Classical Archaeology in 1938, then transferred from the Museum of Classical Archaeology to MAA in November 1951. Other material from Vounous was transferred to the Nicholson Museum, National Museums Liverpool and Manchester Museum (see archive BR6/1/3 for list).
