Description
Child's huipil produced from used hand-woven textile in the pocomchi style of the Alta Verapaz of Guatemala. Produced in three panels. Two 'matching sleeve panels' with motifs of birds sitting on corn plants, flowers, and vertical chevrons on a red background with a black warp. Central panel is vertical chevrons on a black warp. Seams hand stitched, selvage folded over into the inside of the front of the garment. Repair work done around back of collar.
