Description (Physical description)
Lid for a copper alloy, probably brass, container or box. The lid is made mostly from an openwork design, with a coiling dragon on the surface. On the exterior are the symbols of the Eight Auspicious Symbols in Buddhism (which include the endless knot, vase, two fishes etc.), riveted to the exterior metalwork. These designs are all in raised relief.
