Description (Physical description)
A roller pillow used for bobbin lace making, comprising a straw-stuffed roller covered in blue fabric, set into a hollow-backed sloping wooden frame also covered with blue fabric on the rear and bottom and with blue and white floral print linoleum on the top, with bands of green material (possibly also linoleum) securing the roller. A pink-coloured card pricking pattern is pinned to the roller, overlain by a short length of white lace held by blue-topped pins, the linen threads of which are connected to twenty-two bobbins. Three of the bobbins have become detached, though it seems they were all once bound together with string.
