Accession No
TEMP.00806
Description
Hinged key ring with two keys attached. The ring consists of an ovate loop narrowing to a more oblong form with a swing-hinged terminus. Two keys are then attached to this hinge by their shanks, though one with a hollow pipe shank is broken and the bit is missing. The other is intact, comprising a pin shank with a narrowed terminus and projecting toe, with a single bit widening towards the bottom and with a 'bridge ward' pattern of symmetrical key wards. The entire object is highly corroded, to the extent that the hinges are completely fused and the broken shank is now permanently set at a near right angle to the remaining key.
